Sudden Cardiac Arrest High School Screening and CPR Training

Sudden Cardiac Arrest(SCA) is the #1 killer of high school teen student athletes in the US. We screen teens for signs and symptoms for SCA.

SCA is the #1 killer of high school teen student athletes in the US. Heartbeat of Champions Foundation screens high school teens for signs and symptoms for SCA. We interview each participant and get a family history. We also perform an electrocardiogram (ECG) and echocardiogram on every participant. Our echo sonographers are all registered echo techs and our cardiologists are board certified.

We also teach CPR to each participant as well as their family. We also teach the participants how an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) works and how to use it as well.

The screening is free but we strongly encourage donations to Heartbeat of Champions Foundation which will be used to buy additional ECG and Ultrasound systems, AEDs for schools in need as well as pay for particpants who cannot afford the screening.
